January

We are all delighted to be back at school after our Christmas break. January has been a very busy month in Junior Infants. Our theme for this month has been Food. We have been busy working in our "Healthy Eating Café"- preparing food, taking orders and setting the tables. We also tasted different fruits from the story Handa's surprise and made a chart to see which was our favourite class fruit. We used marshmallows to construct lots of different shapes and built "Shop Street" with our blocks.
We learned about Kenya from our story book and made some fabulous African necklaces that the Maasai People wear on special occasions.
We have been learning Gymnastics in PE this month. We are very good at rolling and balancing on the beams.

Christmas in Junior Infants

Our Fabulous Christmas Show- Ralph the Reindeer. We were Super Stars dancing, singing and telling the story of Ralph the Reindeer on stage. We loved every minute performing for our parents and friends at school. Múinteoir Annmarie definitely thinks we have the X Factor :)

Christmas Fun in Junior Infants- We have been very busy in the run up to the Christmas holidays making cards, lovely decorations for our Christmas trees and keeping an eye on our mischievous elf! We even made delicious marcoons and some special food for the reindeer's. We cant wait for the holidays and a brand new year.

Well Done to Kaja, Veronika, Ian & Natalie who have been at school every day this term. Well done everybody- keep up the great work.

Sports Day

We had a great Sports Day in Merlin Woods. We loved all the races and activities from spud and spoon, dress-up races, water races, sack...
